Story
This is a point and click race against two computer players.
Each playable character has a secondary storyline that can be played instead of the main story.
Louise's Secondary Storyline
Pinkie's Secondary Storyline
Daria's Secondary Storyline
This game follows one main story line for all three character options, and a separate story for each chosen character.
Main Story Line
Late at night, a red glowing object falls from the sky and lands on a water tower on the northeastern side of Wondervilledale, the municipality in which the cities of Ponyville, Seymour's Bay, and Lawndale. Three girls, one from each city and each unaware of the others, happen to wake up from the light and noise and see the object strike. Each girl realizes what has happened, and knows at once that the fallen object must be retrieved before it falls into the wrong hands. The player chooses one of the three to steer toward the object, and races the other two.
The girls are Pinkie, Louise, and Daria. As soon as each one sees the object in the night sky, she knows it to be something specific, and different from what the other two expect it to be.
End Game
The ending of the game depends on who reaches the crash site first. Each character is correct; whoever reaches the item first will find it to be exactly what she thought it was.
Although the three girls do not know that they are racing each other, they each are hurrying and eager to get to the end and become less patient if they are delayed. The player can interact with the others up to three times during the race, each time making the other character more and more annoyed.
The player can have different interactions with the others at the end of the game, based on how many times they encountered each other throughout the race.
Pinkie Pie
Pinkie Pie wakes up to the meteorite, and immediately thinks of her Great Gramma Bixbite Crystal who wrote about a red glowing rock in her journals. Pinkie jumps out of bed and finds the journal, reading:
“The most remarkable and magical red gems fall from the night sky in a crashing ball of flame. The ruby meteorite showers occur once a century, and while most of the meteorites burn up in the atmosphere, sometimes one will make it to the land. The pony who can find it and quench the flames before the fiery stones have been destroyed can retrieve the stones and have a powerful source of fire magic, good for creating enough heat to warm a village.”
She is excited, thinking that she could bring the stone to Shanty Stables, a homeless shelter that could use the warmth for the winter.
Pinkie needs to hurry to get the crystal so that it doesn't burn out and ruin its magic.
Louise
Louise wakes up to the light in the sky, seeing it across the hallway from the living room window in her home. She immediately remembers an article she read in a spy magazine she has that talks about drone satellites that have a defect causing them to occasionally fall in a fiery ball. The author of the article describes how they found one, put out the fire before the drone was completely burned up, and sold the machinery for a lot of money. On top of that, the author talks about finding information in the memory system of the device.
Louise realizes that if she can reach the device and put out the fire before it's completely burned she will be able to get cash for it too.
Daria
Daria is reading in bed and falling asleep late in the night when she drifts off with her book and is awakened by a bright red light and crashing sound outside her window. She sees that the light is happening far off, but it’s very bright and looks like its coming from near the water tower. She is suspicious that a city counsel member who has recently been talking a big deal about energy crystals and the MLM she’s been pushing has been using tax money to buy products from her own business to put crystals around the water tower. It has been damaged and she'd been hinting that crystal energy from lanterns her company sells would send positive vibrations to the
To confirm her suspicions, Daria reads through some local papers to find that the counsel member has indeed reacted to the damage on the water tower, not by allocating funds to repair the site, but by using city funds to purchase her crystal lamps to support the water tower with positive energy, arguing that the repairs would be too expensive and would be damaging to the energy fields in the city.
Daria tries to yell to her parents that she thinks the counsel member's crystal lantern has fallen on the power lines below the water tower, but they yell at her to go to sleep. She tries to call 911, but Quinn is on the phone and won’t let her use it. The light seems to have died down, so finally she decides to just run out and try to retrieve the lantern herself.
