Image 6: Squinting: “All that red light in one place, and there’s no noise… Could it be that something just ?”

Image 7: Looks at survivalist mag, cover talks about imminent doom in the form of satellites spying, satellites falling from the sky

Close up of Louise, wide-eyed, reading out loud (the book’s cover is visible, title is SHTF): “…the scariest part of these secret government civilian-spy-satellites may be the sheer amount of your personal information stored in them.”

Image 3: A little closer to Louise, eyes are wider: “Those who are taken by surprise will be shocked by the loss of all their freedoms because the information won’t just be valuable to the controlling government, but also by powerful corporations

Image 4: Looking strangely interested/impressed: “The mass quantity of personal data in one satellite alone is worth countless billions to whoever gets ahold of it.”

Image 5, 6, 7: Bright flash of red light interrupts her reading

Image 8: Looking out the window, excited, at the red glow “No way!… It can’t be!”

Image 9: Shocked, looking back through her book at previous pages: “Where is it.. where is it… ‘Spy satelites have been spotted falling from the sky in burning ball of molten steel in civilian territory. Although the government denies it, some have been intercepted after colliding with the ground before the molten frame was completely destroyed, and sold for top dollar to big companies harvesting all that consumer information.”

Image 10: Looking up with a scheming face “I cant believe my luck! That couldn’t have been further than the park… if I can get to that thing before anyone else…”

Image 11: Expression of ecstatic greed: “I’m going to be… SO. Rich!”

Crawlspace Synopsis:

This game is being designed as a mini-game (and practice) for a larger project. In the bigger project, the introductory details will vary slightly. In the standalone version of the game, Louise will begin in the crawlspace of her family's home, ostensibly intending to visit her friend Kuchi Kopi at his night-time speakeasy. In helping him with some clean up tasks, she discovers a turkey in the toilet. Kuchi Kopi is confused and furious, and asks her to help him figure out who has done this. Louise will be able to collect clues in the room and gather information to give herself some leads. She will use the information and items she encounters to help.

Outside of the bar, Louise will enter a dreamy landscape like the fever dream in “Flu-ouise.” The landscapes she encounters all resemble various places either she or Bob have imagined, with the final location resembling the snowy mountain she envisioned climbing in “The Bleakening.” At the end of her adventures, she will climb the mountain to encounter the Bleaken. She will learn from him that he thought he was punishing the people in the bar for not being enthusiastic enough about St. Patrick's Day, but he fell asleep and put the turkey in the toilet in his sleep, dreaming that he was a baby bleaken, playing with his toy soap dog.

Detailed Synopses
Kuchi Kopi's Bar:
This is the first location in the story. Louise enters the crawlspace. Kuchi Kopi is behind the bar. Bakeneko, Dodomeki, and Mizuchi are at the bar. Kuchi Kopi complains that he is out of lucky charms again, but too busy running the bar to replace them. Someone exits the bathroom shrieking, and Louise looks in on it, discovering that there is a turkey in the toilet. Kuchi Kopi is irate and begins blaming the customers, who deny it, and Louise intervenes. The customers leave (Can choose to side with Kuchi Kopi, blaming the customers, at which point Kuchi Kopi shuts down the bar for the night in frustration and joins her on her quest.)

*In the standalone version of the game, Louise will simply enter the bar and volunteer to help clean when she discovers the turkey.*

Opting to help Kuchi Kopi, Louise begins snooping around the bar for clues. Out the back exit are footprints of customers, which will lead to their homes. At one window is a dislodged lock and puddles. In the kitchen, there is an empty cupboard where Kuchi Kopi’s cereal box used to be.

If Louise goes outside without any clues, she feels a little lost; decides to go back inside and look for something to give her ideas instead of blindly following customers to their homes.

While she’s inside the bar, she can pick up several items. She can keep them or take them to Kuchi Kopi for his ideas.

Three possible clues:

  1. Funny smelling Sponge (found in the trash on the tables)
  2. Prize from a Lucky Charms box (found in a pile of cereal in the kitchen)
  3. Feathers in a mop (found in the broom closet)

If Louise goes to Kuchi Kopi with a clue he gives the following feedback:

  1. Sponge “Sniff sniff; is that strawberries? No… it’s something else…” Louise realizes that the smell is gross, and not like anything else in the restaurant.
  2. Prize “I want that!” Kuchi Kopi keeps the prize. Louise decides to forget about it.
  3. Feathers “Somebody must be throwing another one of those clandestine underground parties.” Louise decides to start looking for a partier.

  Fever Dream Ground Zero

When Louise goes outside with at least one clue in her backpack, she can choose to follow a path. There are three directions she can take:

  1. Back into Kuchi Kopi's Bar
  2. South to Catsteros

There are choices presented depending on whether she has the clues: 1. The feathers a. If she has collected the feathers and spoken to Kuchi Kopi: She sees all the footprints leading toward the East and wonders if people might be gathering for a party. b. If she has collected the feathers and not spoken to Kuchi Kopi: She decides to watch for signs of a bird somewhere around, sees no sign of birds in the landscape at ground zero, makes note for later. c. If she has not collected the feathers, she won’t comment on birds or the fact that almost everyone goes in the same direction when they leave the bar. 2. The sponge a. If she has collected the sponge and spoken to Kuchi Kopi: he has suggested “Strawberry,” although it has a foul and unusual odor. She will notice the weird stain by the window, but will have conditioned herself to think of food in the smell, and will therefore assume the mark by the window is an unrelated spill. She will wonder if Akkorokamui might have something to do with it, because of the drinking and the water b. If she has collected the sponge and not spoken to Kuchi Kopi: She will wonder if the smell is the same as the one at the window. c. If she has not collected the sponge: she won’t pay attention to the water mark by the window. 3. The prize a. If she has collected the prize and spoken to Kuchi Kopi: he has taken it, and she has put it out of her mind. Looking at Gayle of Thrones won’t jog her memory of the prize, but she will wonder if she should explore the area. b. If she has collected the prize and not spoken to Kuchi Kopi: she will look into the distance at the lucky cat statues at the Gayle of Thrones landscape, and will wonder if the inhabitants would be interested in a lucky charms prize. c. If she has not collected the prize: same as point a.

Outside the bar is a window shows signs of damage and has dried puddle marks around it. She thinks it might smell like the sponge, but it’s hard to tell.

Louise retrieves a sponge from the kitchen and absorbs the water from the window sill to compare with the water from Akkorokamui’s lake home. The water is not the same

Other Louise imaginary spots: 1. Gayle Tales, GOT land 2. Louise’s prison cell 3. Banner that says “Louise did absolutely nothing wrong!” 4. Swami that gives wishes very badly 5. Super growing turkey that rises up to Moolissa’s cow heaven cloud

Louise passes through the White talkers.

Boo Boo Grafitti on a wall somewhere with “disgusting beautiful garbage angel”

Louise Climbs the snowy mountain to battle the creature within, finds the Bleaken on a pile of what he thinks are leprechaun themed decorations, but are actually boxes of lucky charms. It kept finding the boxes in Kuchi Kopi’s cabinets

Louise confronts the Bleaken, who tells her that he is destroying the bar at Kuchi Kopi’s to ruin St. Patrick’s Day for all the people in the bar because it saw that only sad angry people were at the bar and people didn’t seem to go to the bar on Christmas, so it decided to wreck the day that it saw people there.

St Patrick’s Day was months ago, though, so the Bleaken thought it could take a nap in a broom closet and wait, and when it fell asleep it dreamed about its soap dog toy as a baby bleaken and how it used to put the soap dog in the bathroom sink. It walked in its sleep to put the toy dog in the sink.

But the toilets and sinks look alike in Kuchi Kopi’s bathroom, after an overpriced designer came in to work on a water problem, and the sleep walking Bleaken couldn’t tell the difference.

The Bleaken went back to its home in the mountains without realizing what it had done.

The Bleaken dropped the turkey in the toilet while trying to ruin St Patrick’s Day
